Piperine in black pepper has been shown to have powerful anti-bacterial, anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties. Black pepper also stimulates the digestion by activating the formation of stomach acids which reduce indigestion, heartburn and gas. Pepper contains many beneficial antioxidants, some which have been shown to help stabilize blood sugar and therefore improve diabetes and reduce obesity.
